At Strong Brisbane, we believe strength is for everyone.

Our mission is simple: to create a strength-focused gym on the Brisbane Southside where beginners and elite athletes alike can train with confidence, purpose, and real coaching support.

Built on the same foundations as Strong Geelong and Strong Jervis Bay, we take a strength-first approach, prioritising quality coaching, structured progression, and community over trends and crowded commercial gym chaos.

We created a space that goes beyond cardio machines and generic workouts. A place where you’re coached properly, follow proven strength programs, and are encouraged to work hard, back yourself, and progress with intent.

Strong Brisbane isn’t just another gym in Rocklea; it’s the standard for strength training on the Brisbane Southside.

Community
Would I recommend Strong Brisbane, yes! Everything from specialised and specific equipment to standard machines in one area that doesn’t feel cramped up or out of place is incredibly refreshing.
Day 1 was an experience, and I believe it has set the atmosphere and vibes that will stay a standard.
Accessibility and location are prime for on the go parents going to and from work, which plays a huge factor in most of our lives.

10/10 (would give 11/10 if I could), the equipment is elite, nowhere else could you have at least 2 squat variations to make you puke (yes, there is a pendulum and hack squat here). The thought put into equipment selection has been incredible. My most notable pieces of equipment include the t-bar row and the pro squat machine. The cherry on top of the people. This gym has drawn in some very kind, very strong people and is led by none other than the zen of strength, Mr Leigh Shaw. All in all, great gym, great people and great atmosphere.

Strong Brisbane is everything you want in a gym. The open floor plan gives you space to actually train hard, an excellent selection of machines and strength equipment from powerlifting, strongman or weightlifting. If you want a supportive community of strong people who get after it, this is the place to train. If nothing else, it's a strength gym with air conditioning.
